It wasn’t until early in this decade that the #1 Angler of all Time (as voted by us the fan) snapped his long running streak of consecutive qualifications for the Bassmaster Classic. The 2007 season was yet another tough season in which Rick Clunn failed to qualify for the ‘08 Classic.
With a new Elite Series season set to begin, Getting Reel asked you to chime in a vote on the question, “Can Rick Clunn rebound in 2008 and qualify for the 2009 Classic”? After the votes, here are the results.
Yes - 50%
No - 30%
Undecided - 20%
It seems that even after very little to cheer for as of lately, we still believe that you don’t become the ‘Greatest’ Angler of all Time by being unsuccessful. With only a handful of anglers that represent a true veteran status still remaining in competition, hopefully Rick Clunn can put an old school name back into the standings along side some new faces in 2008.
