Still No “Catch of the Month” Entries For March!

by Don Zaegel on March 27th, 2008

I know there are many readers who do not post comments to what I write. I know this because I average anywhere between 15,000-20,000 page views a month assuming it’s a low month. What that means is that there are a bunch of you who either don’t take a camera with you when you fish or don’t know about the “Catch of the Month” contest held every month.

It’s simple. All you need to do is send me a picture of your month’s catch (any species) to zaegelgetsreel@hotmail.com . Tell me when, were, and any other details you can provide and you might be chosen a the “Catch of the Month” Winner!

The selected winner will receive a spool of Vicious Fishing Line courtesy of Vicious Fishingand GettingReel.com. Additionally, new winners may also receive a random bait from Kaotik Lurescourtesy of Kaotik Lures and GettingReel.com.

So hurry up and submit your pics!

Man, if I could catch a dang worthy fish right now, I’d be more than happy to send you a picture of it. I can’t find the big boys (females) out this year! Not a fan of pre-spawn

what do you look at for fish size, or size for breed of fish caught.

Hey Roc, Thanks for checking out the site.
As far as awarding a catch of the month goes, there is no real criteria. If I had two largemouth sitting next to eachother, the bigger one would probably win just because of aww factor.
But a smallmouth could be smaller in weight than a largemouth and still be a better catch simply because smallmouth are smaller by nature but more aggressive and better fighters.

Thanks, donnie it’s a good site don’t do alot of bass fishing normally crappie and catfish. Been doing a lot of fly fishing for trout but we do catch a lot of strippers and walleye in the early spring.
