This thing has really taken off and it will only get bigger. Look at other college sports today. No, it will never touch the likes of college football or basketball, but I could not begin to guess how high the ceiling is. I think that the idea for a young man or woman attending college and looking for a direction in life is greatly intrigued by the idea of being able to fish for a living. Can we all be so lucky. I vividly remeber the days when I attempted to go to college right after high school. I was asking myself as I boxed up all of my memories that would become known as my adolecense; where’s the motivation? Well todays college youth doesn’t have that problem.
This year Boat U.S. will be hosting it’s 2nd “National Collegiate Bass Championship”, and will be presented by Fox College Sports. The event will be held on Lake Lewisville, TX from Sept 27-29. Represented will be the nations top 47 colleges from across the United States to include the 2006 defending champs North Carolina State. An itenerary of the event can be reviewed at www.collegiatebasstournament.com.
