Nascars Ryan Newman to host Charity Fishing Event
Sometimes people in the sports entertainment industry have to do more than just catch the wining touch down for my home team or set the all-time home run record for me to become a fan. Sometimes they have to show that they are willing to give back on what we the fans have given to them. In this case, Ryan Newman will be doing just that and for the second time.
On Saturday, December the 8th, Ryan Newman and wife Krisie will be hosting the 2nd annual “Ryan Newman Foundation Charity Fishing Tournament” on Lake Norman in Mooresville, NC.. The event will be sponsored by Ranger boats and host a list of Nascar Nextel Drivers and FLW Outdoors Fishing Pros.
The event will help generate money for what they call “Racing for wildlife. Their goal is to help contribute to wildlife organizations, conservation groups, and animal welfare organizations. Ryan and Krissie are both advocates of wildlife conservation and feel that this is something that is important to the both of them.
The event will be $200 for entrants who register after Nov 8. In this case that would be anybody who is reading this. The tournament will award a fully rigged Ranger 198VX with a 200 hp Evinrude, Minn-Kota Maxxum 80, Humminbird 767, and a single axle trailer valued at $38,000. The event will also host a dinner the evening before the event sposored by Alltel and Outback Steakhouse. Any idea what will be on the menu?
Way to go Ryan and Krissie. I am a fan.

Its always good two see pro athletes doing whatever they can to make a big difference in life. It don’t always have to be something like raising money for cancer, either, the whole donating to wildlife organizations is pretty cool in my book.
