Will Mark Zona Grant Wish For 2008 Classic?
We all know that many companies endemic to the fishing industry always bring something new to the Bassmaster Classic every year. Last year one of the biggest new showings was the Berkley Chigger Craw which was used by Alabama’s own, Boyd Duckett to help secure the win. While it is already known that Berkley will again have a whole new line of baits to show this year at Lake Hartwell, that is not what I want to see the most. Sure there will be anglers sporting new sponsor and wrap schemes and the chance to touch some hard to find baits at the expo. All of which require years and months of coordination and planning on the part of many researchers and developers. My request is a little more simple than that and there is still time.
It is well know by BASS followers and viewers that BASS TV Personality and Host Mark Zona is an avid fan of the 80’s. In fact he has made the comment a time or two that he his still stuck in the 80’s. When I look back on the 80’s, four things come straight to mind. Arcades, Camaro’s, Hair Bands, and Mullets. That’s right. Mullets. There is nothing I would like to see more than for Mark Zona to bring in the 2008 BASS season and 40th Anniversary sporting a new Mullet hair-do on air at the 2008 Bassmaster Classic.
If you want to make headlines than this will help do just that. Maybe even show a quick little segment where Zona pays a visit to Hair Stylists gone angler, Kimberlee Striker to help out with the job.
Afterall, Zona owes me one after he edited the airing of the Capitol Clash on the Potomac River to make it look like I was telling Kelly Jordan how to set the hook on a bass knowing that it was an inside joke between me and KJ.
Zona, release you inner Jaromir Jagr and Joe Dirt.

Yeah, Unfortunatley what you didn’t see was that the bass we were talking about kept hitting his craw and letting it go. The bass hit it and finally took it off of his hook. KJ and I were sharing many laughs over it. Zona got me on that one. It’s all good for great entertainment. KJ and I also had an agreement that if he caught an 8lb’r and didn’t win, I’d give him the 1st place purse out of my own pocket.
