Jason Quinn with Champion Boats For 2008

by Don Zaegel on December 22nd, 2007

quinn.jpg     Long time Evan Williams / Pro Craft Pro, Jason Quinn will now sport a new look for 2008. Quinn has recently signed a new boat sponsorship with Champion Boats. Quinn related many of his 2007 woes to equipment problems without directly coming out and contributing them to any of his past sponsors. I call that not burning any bridges. Quinn’s new Champion boat will continue to sport a Mercury outboard. A brand Quinn says is the best.

Quinn who also has terminal tackle sponsors such as Vicious and Tru-Tungsten, will also have a couple of new baits in his boat after signing with Terminator as well. His deal will give him a spinnerbait and buzzbait deal. Quinn has a proven track record with signature series baits after helping develop the successful Tru-Tungsten Jason Quinn Signature Series Jig.

While Quinn didn’t make the 2008 Bassmaster Classic, surely he will have plenty to do with his newly signed sponsor through media publicity. I imagine that we will see Quinn come out firing in the 2009 Elite Series season to prove that if we all do indeed have a bad year, than for him, 2007 was it.

Good for Quinn. He’s a great guy. I’m sure he will be a great ambasador for Champion and Terminator

Just to clarify, Quinn was a long time ProCraft pro before last year, he was on the Nitro team last year and ran a Nitro Z9 during the 2007 Elite Series. It seemed like a really sweet boat when I road in it on the 3rd day of the Elite Series on Amistad, but the front cleat fell off the boat during the tournament, maybe that was just the start of things….

I met Quinn a while back. His manners represent him well. Good guy. My buddy run an ‘05 Champion and it’s a sweet boat. As far as I know Champion hasn’t changed much for ‘08 if anything but I could easily be wrong. I am sure Quinn won’t have any problems with it.

there is nothing wrong with the z 9. There’s alot more to for quinn to leave. has nothing to do with the equipment.

I met Jason at Bass Pro Shop and he is really a class act. I think when he says he will perform better with this boat he will do just that. Congrats on the new deal Quinn.
