HI-SEAS Joins Weekend Series
The ABA/BASS Bassmaster Weekend Series sponsored by Toyota Tundra and Mercury/Triton has joined with Hi-Seas. This proves again that the Weekend Series is quickly gaining traction with it’s many new sponsorship involvements and $5,000 guarantee 1st place payout.
Hi-Seas has primarily been geared toward saltwater fishing lines in the past but are now trying to shift up their gears a little and market to the freshwater industry as well. Hi-Seas Sales Manager Steve Miller said, “The joining with the Weekend Series is another step to prove just that”.
I have said it before and I will say it again. It won’t be long before the Weekend Series is seeing fields that will rival the successful BFL’s. It almost certainly will not happen in 2008 but if ABA/BASS continue to make advancements in this same direction than they will quickly gain the trust of the weekend anglers and ultimately create a dedicated fan base. Something they will need to survive in the long run.
