Hackney Strikes New Sponsorship Deal For ‘08
Former Toyota Pro, Greg Hackney will sport a new look for 2008 after announcing his new sponsorship deal with BASS Sponsor, Advanced Auto Parts. He will join exsisting team members John Crews and Marty Stone.
Missing from last years Advanced Auto Parts Team is BASS Pro Gerald Swindle. I am not sure if Swindle was let go by Advanced for a specific reason such as a ‘07 Bassmaster Classic Dis-Qualification or to make room for Hackney. He may have left under his own accord to strike a better deal with another big name sponsor. He is expected to announce his new Title Sponsor very soon according to BassFan.
If the speculation that Swindle may possibly be replacing a vacancy on the Toyota Team left by Hackney is true, than it seems maybe the Owners or Marketing Directors for these companies are finding interests in team trading. Maybe next we will see a one for one swap by Nitro and Champion Boats involving KVD and Skeet.
It is unknown whether Hackney will sport his new colors for the 2008 Bassmasters Classic or if Swindle will still represent them since his participation is due to the 2007 season qualification.
