Glenn Delong’s Boat Broken Into
It is being said that BASS Elite Series Pro Glenn Delong had his boat broken into last Sunday night while down in Florida getting ready for this weekends event. While there aren’t many details known, it is being said that Glenn did have a lockr’ bar across his compartments but the thief(s) managed to take most of what Glenn had in his boat.
Again, with little known about the incident, it is also unknown where Glenn’s boat was parked. Glenn is said to be handling it well and has received aid of many others pros in the form of spare equipment and what not. As details are released, GettingReel will let you know.
Let’s hope Glenn can keep his focus throughout the weekend. I am sure he has put alot of concentrated time and effort into preparation for this event just to have it broken by some hooligans. Hopefully, as the sport gets bigger and introduced to new people, this doesn’t become a trend. I have a hard time seeing fellow anglers doing something like this to one of our own.
Good Luck this weekend Glenn.

I have had significan amounts of stuff ripped off 4 different times. It sucks. Fortunatly, they didn’t take all of my stuff 2 times and I got all of it back another time.
2 Times people broke into my Car. (Once at a boat ramp and once while parked on the street at Church)
1 Time broke into my house.
1 Time had tackle pretty much out in the open at a Church Camp, didn’t expect it to get stolen there.
Needless to say I am now quite paranoid about leaving my equipment unattended.

If he moved out by the Lane’s he wouldn’t have this problem, cause chances are nobody could find the place … Seriously, though, that sucks. Good luck to Glen.

After watching the day 1 weigh-in on Harris Chain yesterday, it apperantley happened to Charlie Hartley as well. His boat was parked right next to Glenn’s where they were staying.
Sorry to hear all of that BP. I can definitley understand your paranoia.

It always so terrible to hear about these kinds of things. Gotta feel bad for Charley and Glenn. BP, where’d all that stuff happen to you at?
