Get Your “Fantasy Fish” On!
Football and Baseball aren’t they only thing that you can occupy your empty hours with anymore. The sports of fishing is now on tap at many of your favorite fantasy counters. In some cases you can win things like trucks, boats, cash, and tons of other prizes.
The two authority on fishing organizations (ESPN/BASS and FLW/FOX SPORTS) offer different leagues which both feature separate anglers.
BASS has not yet updated their Fantasy Web page at: http://games.espn.go.com/basschallenge/bass/frontpage so I can’t tell you as of now what prizes will be up for grabs, but the Elite Series season doesn’t begin until March so at this point there is no real hustle to get in there and start making picks. I do however suggest you start looking at the ‘08 Elite Series schedule and compare it to the Elite Anglers strength suits. You had better know who your Florida and Texas boys are and who has a strong history of success on their lakes as the first few events will take place in those waters.
The FLW has a dynamite looking 2008 fantasy fishing going on to play against the FLW Tour. Called “FLW Fantasy Fishing”: http://www.fantasyfishing.com/login.cfm?target=/index.cfm? , up for grabs will be $7.3 Million in Cash and Prizes. Again, we are talking everything from gift cards to Ranger Boats, Chevy Silverados, ATV’s, and cold hard cash money.
What’s best is that both organizations and sites offer fantasy reviews and weekly projected picks along with stats and other various reviews to help you pick. So if you haven’t already, get to one or both of these sites and get your “Fantasy Fish” on!

I thought I’d see your name on the Fantasy roster by now. What’s taking so long? Elite Series qualification shouldn’t be all that hard for you! Hope your Tournament Director duties for the NBC are coming along for ‘08.
