FLW Sponsorship Trouble?
There has been alot of speculation on major sponsorship changes among FLW. Today Bassfan.com released news that mentioned the pull-out of many sponsors, most owned by a couple of major conglomorates. I contacted Nate Grover who is the Promotional Marketing/Sponsorship Manager for FLW and was he was unable to legally answer my questions directly, but did state that, “We’ve announced new sponsors through press releases in the past”. This directly tells me to keep a heads up for a press release and that there is about to be a shake up as far as sponsors go. I would like to think that if there was no news to be had than he would “legally” be able to say no. So what would this mean?
Currently the FLW uses it’s sponsors to provide the anglers with sponsorship. BASS is different in that the anglers acquire individual sponsorship on their own. If a big pull-out does happen and FLW is unable to replace the sponsorship, than FLW will have alot of anglers that they will not be able provide sponsorship for.

Well, it sure is good to know that it’s not just NASCAR going through a constant series of sponsorship changes.

Additinal speculation suggests that the conglomorates will remain in place as sponsors and just rotate some of their companies.
