FLW Drama?
Is there a problem with the FLW in which they release public statements regarding protests and infractions? Some of their touring Pros seem to think so. Unlike BASS or most other major sports, the FLW maintains a non-disclosure policy when it comes to protests and infraction rulings etc. Bassfan.com was able to question some of the FLW’s biggest stars to get their opinion on the topic and to bring up some valid points as to whether or not we as fans should be concerned. The focal point of this had to do with things regarding invested public interest such as FLW fantasy fishing.
I really had no opinion on the case in question were pro, Greg Pugh was seen on day 2 at Lake Norman in the off-limit area. A protest was brought about and witnesses say he was seen casting at fish. When confronted, Pugh had admitted he inadvertently ventured into the area, but never made a cast. Two poly tests were given and as a result of the outcome of the tests, Pugh was not dq’d.
What does this have to do with us as fans? While I am sure it is an honest mistake in this case, things of this nature can directly tie to an anglers reliability. If I am putting my roster together and my final pick is between an angler who has never received a penalty for a rule infraction because he studies the rules and understands them completely or someone who nods off during the angler meetings before the tournament starts, I may end up going with the study nut so I don’t take a hit on my fantasy team.
I am sure there are other examples that can be put into scenario, but this is just one off of the top of my head. Check out exactly what the anglers had to say by clicking here and then let us know what you think.

I think David Dudley once again proves himself to be a dufus as he seems to hint that Pugh should have been DQ’d because he was “fishing” without casting.
The bit about Andre Moore’s co-angler infraction was interesting.

I agree with BP on the Dudley deal.
