First Look: Quantum’s New PT Baitcast Lineup For 2009
Quantum has given us an inside look to their new PT series line-up of baitcasting reels for 2009. In what is being considered a baitcaster brawl, Quantum’s new line-up is lighter, stronger, sleeker, and has kept most all of their advanced designing such as the PT system and their ACS control system. Possibly the greatest improvement aside from their looks is the weight reduction as mentioned. The reels have gone from a 9 plus oz. average to a 7 oz. average.
They have also kept their vast assortment of different hand models and gear ratios to choose from. One thing to note is that the Accurist PT will not be back and rather replaced the Catalyst PT. Regardless, one thing is for certain and that is that they will look even better after I couple them with my Xtreme Elite American Eagle Rods.

Quantum has said that you can expect to see both the reels and the new KVD cranking rods start to hit retailers this November. Just in time for Christmas.

Cool I can’t wait. I love my energy 770 for 08 but the 09 models look even more impressive.
