Classic Day 2 Results
With weather conditions changing drastically overnight, most of the anglers put the absence of a follow-up to their day 1 weight on the the changing conditions. For Elite Series Pro Alton Jones, that wasn’t the case at all. Alton backed up his day 1 weight of 17.5 with a day 2 sack weighing 18.11, good enough for the Classic lead after two days with 36.00 even.
The big limit of the day was owned by Jeff Kriet with 18.12 who weighed his fish in just prior to making a late Happy Anniversay announcement to his wife in attendance. The announcement was a day late.
Big Bass of the tournament was brought in by Fred Roumbanis with a 6.7 and good for a $1000 bonus which he says will go straight to his almost 1yr old son, Jackson’s college fund. If the bass can hold on for one more day, Roumbanis may earn another $1000 for the big bass of the tournament.
Also notable was KVD who brought in 11.14. A big disappointment for KVD after his day 1 weight. KVD said before leaving the weigh-in stage that he only hopes to be withing striking distance going into the final day.
